GameSpy announced shutdown of GameSpyV1 protocol Servers
IGN.com, owners of the GameSpy network, announced yesterday a Shutdown of all GSA1 protocol Master Servers at June 1st 2008. "This step was necessary due to the low usage of this service compared to the high costs of running and maintaining this systems", said Simon Stein, spokesman of IGN.com "We came to the conclusion that it is not cost efficient to run a Master Server, which was build for thousands of players, for only a few Dozen." A complete list of games which will be effected is not available at the moment, because the decision what games whill survive, and which will not has not yet been done, but it is expected that more than 80% of all games, older than 3 years will most likely be shut down.
Ok, so I'm going to be at a seminar in Amsterdam on August 8th to the 10th and I plan on spending at least 11 more days there as well. Right now the likely places I'll be hitting up are Jort's Porsche and Germany (possibly France if p00p isn't gaying it up in Albania with shemales). If I don't go the France route then I'd probably have time to head to some of your other CRAZY places as well. The only thing about that is the rest of you have a stupid large body of water between the most direct route from me to you and even after that none of you are close to eachother! You guys have until sometime August to take a page from Nacht and Fyx and move close enough to where a major city is in the middle of you
I also need to know how I want to spread out those 11 days so I get to visit when you guys are actually around; 11 of travel and then the seminar, a few days before and then some after, or all after.
